| 2003/12/24 - 拓碼科技今天推出一款針對ETTH及IP DSLAM邊界（edge）端市場的交換器晶片 XTE-2402G。該款晶片採用新的硬隔離（Hard Segment）架構，以取代舊有虛擬網路（VLAN）設定以模擬用戶端隔離的傳統網路交換器。 XTE-2402G採用0.25u製程，PBGA272包裝，內含24個10/100M下傳端口及兩個10/100/1000M可併送（Trunking）的上傳端口，*的硬隔離架構在實體上*隔離了下傳端口間的互連通道，除了杜絕虛擬網路群組設定遭篡改的可能，其明確的封包交換路徑，亦大幅提昇系統穩定度及安全性。 有別於一般網路交換器共用MAC位址表單的作法，XTE-2402G採用更安全的MAC位址綁定方法, 並允許每一個下傳端口提供1至16個MAC位址，使用者須先經過身份認証方可使用網路資源。XTE-2402G亦提供IGMP的多點同時傳送能力，讓隨選視訊（Video On Demand）等大量資訊流的應用更加出色。 XTE-2402G可個別在下傳端口上做精確的雙向流量控制（Rate control）設定，配合種類齊全的網路監控計數器，可*滿足ETTH在計費及計量上的需求，XTE-2402G亦提供一組通用的8/32位元的處理器界面，可直接連接ARM、PowerPC、SH-3、8051等處理器，以提供遠端網路的認証及管理能力。 XTE-2402G可搭配拓碼科技的XTA-0808晶片；每一顆XTA-0808晶片內含8組SAR（Segmentation and Reassembly），每組SAR可提供雙向各40Mbps的傳輸能力，並可連接ADSL、VDSL、DHDSL等的DSP及AFE。一顆XTE-2402G晶片加上3顆XTA-0808晶片可組成24個下傳端口的IP DSLAM，提供較NP（Network Processor）設計簡單，傳輸能力更好，傳遞延遲更短的電信局端寬頻產品。 Xtramus Introduces XTE-2402G ASIC Heat up ETTH and IP DSLAM Market Taipei, Taiwan, Dec. 23, 2003 – Xtramus today introduces XTE-2402G to be targeted at the edge market between ETTH and IP DSLAM construction. The Ethernet Switch ASIC adopts the new Hard Segment architecture to replace the VLAN setting for simulating CPE partition of conventional switch ASIC. XTE-2402G is manufactured on a 0.25-micron process, offered in a 272-pin PBGA package, and supports 24 10/100Mbps downstream ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps uplink ports with Trunking mode. Its unique Hard Segment feature physically partitions downstreams channels to remove chances of unauthorized changes of VLAN group setting, and the independent packets transmission paths greatly increase system stability as well as security. Unlike other general network switching ASICs using a shared MAC address table, XTE-2402G employs a much safer MAC address configuration method, which allows every downstream ports having its own table containing one to 16 MAC addresses. Users must be identified before granted access to network resources. XTE-2402G also provides IGMP snooping for multicast capability, which strengthen application of large data flow such as Video On Demand. XTE-2402G supports Rate Control, an accurate two-way flow control scheme, on individual downstream ports, and together with various kinds registers of Remote Monitoring counters, the demand of fee and flow calculation of ETTH can by fully satisfied. In terms of remote verification and management, XTE-2402G offers an 8/32 digit micro processor interface for ARM, PowerPC, SH-3, or 8051 connection. XTE-2402G can integrate with XTA-0808, an Octet Ethernet to xDSL Bridge ASIC contains eight set of SAR（Segmentation and Reassembly） with each SAR providing transmission capability of 40 Mbps. XTA-0808 directly connects to DSP/AFE of ADSL, VDSL, or DHDSL. One XTE-2402G and three XTA-0808 construct a 24-downstream ports IP DSLAM（Internet Protocol Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer）, which has a simpler design, better transmission performance, and lower latency. |
