MA-381 and MA-383 adjustable emissivity models can be fine-tuned to different materials and surfaces for increased accuracy. D:S is the ratio between the distance to the target and the diameter of the measuring spot. The greater the D:S value, the better the resolution is and the smaller the target can be. Temperatures are obtained from the exposed surfaces of materials targeted. Useful distances for these models range from 3-35ft （1-10.5m）. The laser spotting feature enables easy spotting of target surface. All models feature automatic data hold, temperature resolution of 0.1°C or °F up to 199.9°C and CE Mark. Units are powered by two AAA batteries （included） for up to 130 hours of operation. Accuracy is rated at ±2%, and all units are factory calibrated on NIST traceable equipment.
